Welcome – read Conor’s welcome note
Welcome
How we communicate with one another has changed. Sometimes it’s for the good, sometimes not. Technology has not reduced the paper mountain it has simply made information travel faster. That has created new pressures and stress. We have become an instant society and that can fuel “I need it now” thinking – guess what? – you don’t!
The world of Blogging is a relatively new vehicle and we are about to jump on board.
We are lucky enough to work with lots of wonderful people - everyday. We listen with care to those owls and those wise owls have been asking for a Blog. So, we are capitulating but under certain conditions! This is what is important to us;
Our thoughts are based on a deep pool of rich experience and our thoughts are simple examples of lessons learnt.
They are neither dogma nor rules and are certainly not a call to action.
We don’t want to preach or prescribe, everyone is different.
We won’t say what is right and what is wrong, we will simply tell you a story or two.
We don’t mind if you don’t agree, it is only our opinion after all.
We only do this to dispense and share a little wisdom, no other reason.
If any of it helps or rings true – share it.
Our stories will always relate to people and how we influence them, it’s what we really care about.
Our comments are subjective but might just teach you a thing or two. If so great, if not, there is a great big delete button in front of you.
We have no political affiliation and we are not aligned to any particular body. We are free spirits driven by a passion for excellence and getting the best from your people.
We believe the solutions lie within and the trick is to get them out.
We are what we are, passionate about it, and we hope we can inspire you now and again with simple thoughts from a lifetime’s experience.
Finally, our common thread is ‘people’ and our belief is simple. In his book ‘The Last Word’ Ivor Kenny sums up our absolute raison d’être. It is this;
“People are often better persuaded by the reasons they have themselves discovered than by those which have come into the mind of others” – That is why we are anti the word ‘consultant’ and much prefer to say that we solve problems with your people, through your people and with the wisdom of your people.
We hope you enjoy.
